Proactively responds to customer issues and complaints. Models desired behaviors, ensures the front of store remains clean and presentable, and promotes customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with upper management to train, develop, schedule, plan, assign, and direct front‑end partners.Assist in training cashiers and courtesy/utility clerks on customer service policies, produce codes, cash handling, tender procedures, scanner use, and bagging protocol.Ensure company regulations and standards for freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met within front‑end operations.Provide checkout services, bag customer groceries, and maintain accurate registers.Monitor parking lot cleanliness and assist with customer flow.Monitor and manage front‑end shrink, including partner purchases and bottom‑of‑basket activity.Provide friendly, customer‑service oriented service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing complaints.Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by following company safety procedures.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Advanced knowledge of cash register operationsIntermediate knowledge of store operations and checkout policiesIntermediate understanding of state laws on alcohol, tobacco, and lottery salesIntermediate knowledge of anti‑money laundering and related regulationsBasic knowledge of on‑site fuel station procedures (if applicable)Basic mathematical skillsStrong organizational and time‑management skillsEffective written and verbal communication with customers and partnersProfessional and courteous demeanor at all timesLeadership and motivation of othersAttention to detail and ability to evaluate partner performanceAbility to learn new technology systems, methods, and processesBasic Microsoft Office proficiencyAbility to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environmentSafe handling of sharp and precision toolsHigh level of confidentiality regarding sensitive informationFlexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidaysHazard awareness and reportingEducation, Experience and Qualifications Minimum age 18; partners who drive for Company business must be 21 or older.High school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education.HIPAA certification through Company LEARN program within 2 weeks of starting.Tobacco/Alcohol certification (TABC/LACT/AATC) through Company LEARN program within 2 weeks of starting, where applicable.Manager Food Safety certification through Company LEARN program within 2 weeks of starting.Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) certification through Company LEARN program within 2 weeks of starting.Physical Demands Use of close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus.Standing or walking for continuous periods.Speaking and hearing continuously.Reaching, touching, or handling with hands.Fine finger movements for sorting and typing.Occasional bending, kneeling, or squatting.Pushing, pulling, maneuvering, or lifting objects up to 40 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs occasionally.Regular attendance required.Work Context and Environment Work performed in a retail store setting.Occasional exposure to external temperatures, weather, and cleaning agents.Noise level typically quiet to moderate.BGC is an equal‑opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or military status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
