Summary:

This position involves operating various types of construction equipment, including but not limited to dump trucks, bulldozers, front-end loaders, graders, tracked excavators, and water trucks. Your primary responsibilities will include excavating, moving, grading, and loading earth into haul trucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols consistently.
• Proactively identify and avoid potential hazards such as utility lines and falling objects.
• Locate underground services, including pipes and wires, before commencing work.
• Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met during operations.
• Utilize controls to operate equipment effectively, including adjusting attachments as necessary.
• Coordinate actions with crew members to move loads safely and efficiently.
• Load and transport materials using various types of heavy machinery.
• Monitor fuel supplies on-site to maintain equipment functionality.
• Drive machinery to prepare working areas by removing topsoil, leveling terrain, and more.

Requirements:

• Commitment to following safety guidelines.
• Ability to understand instructions and meet performance standards.
• Proficient in accurately judging distances and slopes.
• Make informed decisions based on established criteria.
• Physical capability to bend, stoop, and use limbs fully.
• Good vision and hearing, with or without corrective measures.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds frequently and carry lighter objects.
• Willingness to work in dusty or challenging environments.
• Successful completion of construction equipment operator qualification testing.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Two to three years of relevant and verifiable experience in the field.
