Machine Shop Apprentice

Machine Shop Apprentice

We have several exciting opportunities for grinder trainees who assist grinder operators and machinists in their daily work. PRG offers our apprentices a structured training program with regularly scheduled performance evaluations (quarterly) that reward success with increased compensation.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work any shift.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two-year degree from a technical school preferred, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Good basic math skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and able to stand for up to 12 hours.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Overtime and weekend work required throughout the year.
• Quarterly increases based on skills acquired.
