Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world's premier private schools, dedicated to providing an exceptional, career-focused education for students in pre-K through 12th grade, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. All costs, including housing and meals, are covered through the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school's founders.

MHS is seeking dedicated married couples to serve as flex houseparents. As flex houseparents, you will live in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a small group of approximately 8-12 students. Your role will be vital in providing a consistent, family-like atmosphere and managing responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Experience working or volunteering with youth, particularly from underserved backgrounds.
• Must be a legally married couple for at least two years.
• Both spouses should be at least 27 years old.
• A maximum of three dependent children may reside in the home.
• No smoking or weapons allowed; alcohol is prohibited while on duty.
• Only fish and one approved breed of dog are permitted as pets.
• A valid U.S. driver's license is required, and both spouses must become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort in leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (note: proselytizing is not permitted).
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity as role models for students is essential.
