We are seeking an experienced candidate to join our Engineering team.

Job Summary: The Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting engineers, conducting tests, and collecting data. The ideal candidate will be organized, have attention to detail, and demonstrated proficiency with computers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists and backs up the Engineering Clerk in day-to-day duties.
  • Prepares day to day shop floor documentation using JCM standards and design sense from sales orders (under minimal supervision).
  • Uses computer-assisted design/drafting software to develop designs for generic drawings and sales requests.
  • Performs dimensional analysis of assemblies.
  • Setting up tests and testing of components under direction of the design engineer.
  • Support shop floor computer-controlled equipment-programming functions using standard JCM developed programs (under manager guidance).
  • Support cost accounting with bills of materials, drawings, and manufacturing suggestions.
  • Assist engineers in creating, modifying, and testing products and processes.
  • Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct tests and collect data.
  • Assist in product design, development, and production.
  • Build and set up equipment.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Education/Certification/Licensure: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year College or Technical School or a combination of technical education and fabrication experience.
  • Training and Experience: Demonstrated proficiency using AutoCAD. Basic computer skills required, including the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Job Knowledge: Demonstrated proficiency using office software applications.
