Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing vital duties such as specimen collection, receiving, and referrals, ensuring we provide top-tier service to our patients and customers.

• Keep the work area and collection equipment sanitized and organized.
• Assist with supply procurement in collaboration with the team lead.
• Perform various specimen collections, including venipuncture and urine drug screen collections.
• Ensure specimen integrity is maintained throughout the collection process.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Utilize laboratory computer systems for documentation and order management.
• Participate in special projects, cross-training, and other assigned duties.
• Complete performance evaluations and competency assessments as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant programs preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and data entry.
• One year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is preferred; State licensure is needed if in Louisiana.
