GSW - PSA Engineer - Network Transmission - Remote (W2)

We are looking for a seasoned PSA Engineer to support our network transmission efforts. The role is based in Melbourne, FL 32904 or Bellevue, WA 98004, with preference for on?site work but open to remote candidates.

Duration

6?month contract.

Role Description

As a PSA Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain Energy Management System (EMS) solutions for electric power utilities. Your responsibilities include:

• Customizing and delivering EMS for electric power utilities using industry best practices
• Working on Electric SCADA, Power DMS, and Transmission EMS implementations
• Developing code in C, Java, and SQL/Oracle, and applying OOP principles in C++, full?stack Java, or equivalent
• Maintaining real?time or mission?critical systems, including patching, log analysis, and debugging on Linux and Windows environments
• Managing source control with GitHub or ClearCase, and deploying third?party software such as Oracle and NetApp
• Analyzing problems, identifying root causes, and delivering robust solutions on live customer systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in developing and customizing Energy Management Systems for electric power utilities
• Strong knowledge of Electric SCADA, Power DMS, and Transmission EMS implementations
• Proficiency in C, Java, and SQL/Oracle databases; experience with C++ and OOP principles
• 5+ years of experience with AEMS product design and development
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, shell scripting, and log analysis
• Experience installing operating system patches and third?party software (Oracle, NetApp, etc.)
• Familiarity with real?time or mission?critical systems; ability to apply fixes on live customer environments
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem?analysis skills
