Safety Professional Short Term Medcor Safety a subsidiary of Medcor is a Safety Services company serving the Construction and General Industry The Safety Professional will be responsible for identifying safety hazards and communicating with site crews and management to mitigate these hazards The successful candidate must be a team player good communicator and knowledgeable of Federal State Local General Contractor and Owner Requirements governing the project Project Details Project Location Texarkana TX Pay 3800 4000hour W2 Anticipated Start Date October 6th or 13th Anticipated Duration 1 2 months Anticipated HoursWeek 50 Project Type Demolition Per Diem 875week JOB REQUIREMENTS Develop positive professional relationships while working closely with field personnel all levels of management and outside agencies during all phases of constructionCoordinate and conduct audits of all crews to identify areas for improvement of unsafe work conditions and practices and recognize those for safe work practicesDocument and communicate site audit informationAudit training records of all field personnelImplement all federal local and site programs policies and proceduresReceive review and participate with the development of accident briefs safety related publications bulletins and reportsParticipate with the development of Site Specific Safety Plans and kick offsafety meetingsReview clientowner specific requirements and determine our client compliesMINIMUM EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE Current CPR First Aid Card RequiredOSHA 30 Hour Construction RequiredRelevant safety experience requiredCOMPUTER SKILLS Ability to perform basic word processing and generate spreadsheets as necessary Also access and use the Internet and E mail PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job the employee may regularly be required to stand bend squat sit demonstrate manual dexterity climb stairs and ladders work on elevated platforms talk hear and see On occasion may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds during the workday Specific abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus EOEMFVetDisability We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity or expression pregnancy age national origin disability status genetic information protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law
