Job Title: Environmental Scientist
Job Description
We are looking for an environmental professional to lead field investigations, manage remediation projects, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. You will work collaboratively with teams, contractors, and agencies to deliver high-quality results.
Responsibilities
+ Write work plans and reports, including site assessments, sampling, corrective actions, and closures.
+ Lead field investigations and collect environmental data.
+ Supervise contractors involved in drilling, well installation, and remediation tasks.
+ Assist in the design and execution of cleanup plans for soil and groundwater.
+ Collaborate with government agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
+ Adhere to safety and quality standards during fieldwork and reporting.
+ Propose improvements and innovative ideas for enhanced project outcomes.
+ Manage field teams and ensure tasks are executed correctly.
+ Provide technical expertise and leadership to guide projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science.
+ 3+ years of experience in environmental work.
+ Knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Water Act, and new remediation methods.
+ Proficiency in soil logging, sampling, and data analysis.
+ Experience with EPA/DOD policies at federal sites.
+ Strong multitasking and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and within teams.
+ Willingness to work long shifts, up to 6 days per week.
+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field tools.
+ Ability to pass a screening check, drug test, and HAZWOPER medical exam.
+ Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.

This is a Contract position based out of New Boston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
