Overview

Lead Software Engineer. As an experienced Software Engineer working for our leading client, you serve as a member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Depending on the team that you join, you could be developing mobile features that give our customers and clients more control over how they bank with the client, strategizing on how big data can make client's trading systems quicker, creating the next innovation in payments for merchants, or supporting the integration of client's private and public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a member of an agile team to design and deliver technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.
• Collaborate on mobile features, big data strategies, payments innovations, or cloud platform integration depending on the team.
• Provide test data management to ensure high test coverage and supply data in the right quantity.

Primary skills

• Mainframe: Good hands-on project development using Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2.
• IMS DB or Assembler or PL1 or CICS experience.
• Knowledge of VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method).
• Strong analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to understand complex requirements and assist the team in creating designs.
• Test Data Management to ensure high test coverage and right data in the right quantity.
• Intelligent data masking and data management practices with end-to-end traceability of test data (nice to have).
• Agile and DevOps integration, providing self-service data capability.
• Understanding of Data profile exercises and refreshing data where needed.
• COBOL: Working knowledge of Micro Focus Unit Testing Framework; awareness of deploying COBOL applications.

Secondary skills

• QA: Working knowledge of Micro Focus Unit Testing Framework.
• Awareness of Data Management and SQL skills.
• Support change requests, unplanned data needs, problems/incidents.
• Documentation and reports.
