In this role, you will oversee major components of this business unit, negotiating significant agreements with AI research organizations and top-tier technology companies while building the revenue foundation required for sustainable expansion. You will collaborate directly with senior leadership to ensure your strategic influence shapes the organization's future direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy: Develop comprehensive revenue models, pricing structures, profit objectives, and financial forecasting
  • Partnership Building: Create enduring relationships with technical teams, research leadership, procurement groups, and legal departments
  • Leadership Communication: Deliver regular reports to executive leadership on revenue performance and business growth initiatives
  • Market Development: Identify and establish new alliances with artificial intelligence research centers and leading technology enterprises through strategic relationship building and focused prospecting
  • Organizational Development: Build and mentor revenue-driven teams while fostering a results-oriented organizational culture
  • Growth Management: Scale current client partnerships and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Revenue Operations: Oversee end-to-end sales cycles from prospect discovery to contract completion

Requirements

Essential:

  • Geographic Requirement: Located in San Francisco, CA with willingness to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally for business purposes
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in team management, strategic financial planning, and cross-departmental coordination
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence with contemporary business software (Google Workspace, data analysis tools, CRM systems)
  • Educational Background: Degree from a recognized higher education institution (any discipline welcome)
  • Commercial Expertise: Strong background in enterprise-level contract negotiations, revenue enhancement, and profit margin management
  • Networking Capabilities: Exceptional relationship-building abilities with natural networking and communication talents
  • Industry Connections: Established professional relationships within artificial intelligence research communities and major technology companies
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of data security protocols (SOC 2 compliance) and applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Operational Success: Proven ability in sales leadership and business strategy execution with P&L responsibility
  • Organizational Skills: Track record of building interdisciplinary teams and managing sophisticated stakeholder dynamics

Preferred:

  • Revenue Growth: Demonstrated success scaling service-oriented businesses from early stages to eight-figure annual revenue
  • Enterprise Sales: Deep understanding of complex B2B sales methodologies and client portfolio development
  • AI Laboratory Experience: Exposure to artificial intelligence research environments (reinforcement learning, safety protocols, assessment methodologies, multimodal implementations)
