Made Possible.Internal Title: Business Systems Sr AnalystExternal Title: Senior Business Systems AnalystSummarySenior Business Analysis, application engineering and project management for existing and new systems for the Information Technology Department. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the systems environment. Maintains stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the manufacturing systems that support the mills such as PARCview, data historians, primary production, quality, security, process technology, PLC's and process Analytics. Serve as liaison between Mills, Corporate IT, vendors and other Corporate Business Units. This role may expand into other projects and support as necessary.ResponsibilitiesSr. Business Analysis/Systems & Application Engineering/Project Leadership [DL1]Mills systems application engineering, development and supportSr. Business Analysis development and support (Upgrades, enhancements and portfolio initiatives)Collaboration with IT / OT teams to develop interface design and architecture in accordance with security standards and Purdue modelThorough understanding of data analysis to assist continuous improvement efforts that offer solutions to the organizations problemsMake recommendations for new metrics, apply analytical techniques, and build models to improve insights for manufacturing analyticsServes as a functional application expert and collaborates with IT architects and infrastructure teams to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable system designsStrong knowledge of the software development life cycleProject leadership, management and coordination for growing portfolio.Ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the application environment.Work with third party vendors in fully implementing or building upon applications and software upgrades.Translate requirements into specifications that will be used to implement data and visualization tools for decision making.Implement system testing, including development of test plans, test cases and documentation of feature/function traceability.Create and Maintain documentation for standardization of process and systems.Adhere to change control, security policies and audit requirements.Systems design, implementation and support.Assist with business requested enhancements to Mill systems.On call support as required. Escalates any issues that can't be resolved.System Deployment, configuration, documentation and training.Scripting experience and knowledge of application life cycle.RequirementsBachelor's degree in IT-related field required or equivalent work experience considered.5+ years' experience with manufacturing, related system processes and technologies. (i.e., ERP, Roll Tracking, Costing, Inventory, etc[DL2] .).Working knowledge of highly available manufacturing systems running in a production environment).Application Deployment, configuration, documentation and training.Working knowledge of scripting / application development (VB.NET)Proficient with relational databases, stored procedures, report development and automation (SQL, Oracle, etc.) (queries, trigger, jobs, procedures, reports, etc.)Understanding of basic Networking experienceStrong Analytical and System Design Skills[DL3] .Significant experience in gathering requirements from various Business stakeholders including experience in facilitating requirements sessions and conducting end user interviews.Experience with documentation utilizing various analytical methodologies.PreferredManufacturing Experience preferred.Knowledge of PARCview or Historian Applications (minimum of 1 years' experience with Historian and Data Analytics software running in a manufacturing environment). Nice to haveAbility to synthesize information from multiple sources into cohesive data sets.Knowledge and understanding of interfaces to SAP, shop floor devices and other supported systems.
