Job Responsibilities
They will be responsible for supporting the division's operations, sponsored programs, and research activities. This role requires proficiency in both project management and grants management, with a focus on continuous process improvement. The PM will oversee the division's portfolio of federally and industry-funded studies, providing expertise on pre- and post-award matters such as grant budgeting, personnel effort allocation, sub award processes, service and consulting agreements, expenditure monitoring, and grant closeout. Additionally, the PM willassist in tracking progress toward research milestones and divisional goals. The ideal candidate should be capable of collaborating effectively with all levels of leadership, staff, and clinicians, as well as utilizing all institutional resources.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the research portfolio to ensure scope, budget, and quality expectations are met.
  • Provide guidance on applying to various funding mechanisms, with knowledge of OMB Circulars, Federal Agency policies, etc. (primarily NIH).
  • Develop complex grant budgets, implement sub awards, maintain consultant and service contracts, and assist in executing confidentiality, material, and data agreements.
  • Attend regular status meetings with principal investigators and the study team to stay informed of relevant study developments and address logistical, financial, and operational challenges.
  • Maintain knowledge of university financial systems and grant e-submission systems.
  • Assist in clinical study budget feasibility, sponsor negotiations, liaising with service centers, and internal and external invoice reconciliation.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of grant deliverables and manage reporting requirements.
  • Meet regularly with principal investigator(s) and other team leaders to review budgetary and contractual needs, revenue/expenditure trends, and overall project progress.
  • Act as a liaison between the division and other departments/centers/institutes for grant and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with PI(s) and central offices on activities related to grant setup and close-out (e.g., request award accounts, deliver revised budgets, oversee subrecipient invoice payments, carryover and no-cost extension requests, final financial reports).
  • Provide timely financial reporting to PI(s) and the Office of Research Administration (ORA).
  • Attend ORA and ORC administrative meetings on behalf of the division.
Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in business, healthcare administration, or a related field).
  • 3+ years of grants experience (pre and post award experience)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
This is a direct placement. The client will provide benefits related to PTO, holiday, sick, 401k. The client will present these benefits to the candidate once they have issued an offer.
