Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites. QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
QUALIFICATIONS
# BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 0-2 years industry experience testing software, including website applications.
# Ability to travel to rental labs and test in various environment
# Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
# Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
Pay rate range - $40/hr. to $43/hr. on W2
Onsite - (Candidates will also be traveling to Labs around MT view and San Jose to be in the field and test the product.)
Must Have
Ability to identify what is a Failure/ not Failure
Ability to identify and do debug a failure
Understand the software testing cycle
Yrs Exp: 0-2
Industry Preference:

REQUIRED SKILLS

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Worked with Android stacks
- Assigned a certain task, mostly on the testing front. They will be assigned a feature.
- Work with QA lead to understand what the feature/ task is
- Testing android based software stack
- Using the robot to set it up in a home environment and run the test as an end using customer
- Collect results the end of the day.
- Find bugs whenever they see out-of-the-ordinary behavior
- Send out email reports for the feature
