**Job Title: Equipment Technician**


**Job Description**


Looking for an Equipment Technician with strong electrical and mechanical experience. The Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT) will maintain and repair electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic production line equipment. This is a 1st shift position from 7am to 3:30pm with additional overtime, including some Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

Work from schematics, drawings, charts, manuals, flow charts, verbal and written instructions.

Use various hand and power tools, testing equipment such as RPM meters, frequency meters, watt meters, oscilloscope, multi-meter, and other designed testers to determine problems and necessary repairs.

Perform installation of new, replaced, repaired, or modified equipment at proper production line stations.

Review work orders concerning malfunctioning equipment to prioritize maintaining production schedules with minimum downtime.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or electronic circuitry, including motors, circuit breakers, relays, switches, registers, adders, counters, encoder, decoders, lamps, sensors, fuses, and similar equipment parts.

Repair and/or replace malfunctioning parts such as gears, pulleys, cams, chains, sprockets, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic devices, vacuum pumps, air valves, cylinders, regulators, chucks, drive motors, heaters, or other equipment parts.

Check for air/liquid leaks in lines, hydraulic deionization, and particle filters, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

Handle routine servicing functions including cleaning mold bars, lubricating chains, motors, and sprockets, changing oil, cleaning and servicing TIC baths, replacing stations and hand cappers, replacing rollers, conveyor belts, gas bottles, and adjusting gas regulators.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

+ Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design


+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software


+ Reading electrical and mechanical schematics


+ Troubleshooting using a digital voltmeter


+ Experience with low voltage (0-24 VDC) and high voltage (120-480 VAC)


+ Pneumatic controls experience


+ CMMS experience (eMaintenance or similar)


+ Maintenance troubleshooting

**Job Type**


This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Hour(s).


**Work Site**


This is a fully on-site position in Plano, Texas.


**Work Environment**


Comfortable working in a Class 1,000 cleanroom environment. Ability to sit or stand for 12 hours at a time. Comfortable working around chemicals. May be required to wear a cleanroom smock and proper safety equipment (hairnet, eye protection, face mask, gloves (nitrile or vinyl)). The work environment includes a cleanroom semiconductor environment, electronic manufacturing, and is climate controlled.
