We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Senior Manager, Software Engineer.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and work with a distributed team to innovate and deliver business and software solutions. The role will participate in Executive level communication, forge strong partnerships across the board and effective peer level/team level communication. There will be opportunities to work on both complex roadmaps and interact with business stakeholders directly. The role requires the maintenance of technical project plans, diving into the technical details to understand the nuances and complexities involved and ramping up productivity of off-shore teams as required.

Job Accountability & Scope

• To work closely with distributed organizations and lead complex engagements

• To create and manage project plans and timelines, while proactively managing risks

• Manage a distributed team

• Delivery of high-quality software using best practice methods through clear leadership, guidance and setting of standards

About You:

• Builds and drives high performing, productive distributed teams

• Mandates robust engineering practices including e.g., peer code review, pair programming, test driven development and continuous integration to create code that is robust and sustainable

• Develops and maintains coding standards to align the work of internal and external dev teams as appropriate

• Engages collaboratively with Architecture and DevOps teams on solutions design and implementation to ensure robust and well supported development

• Instils use of a content management system, shared component libraries, and shared design principles, to work efficiently while providing a clear and consistent user experience

• Provide hands-on technical coding and mentoring when necessary

Delivers high-quality software using best practice methods

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams

• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams

• 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers

• Experience with full lifecycle delivery of projects including creation and execution of project plans

• Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery

• Deep understanding of SDLC, agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures

• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

• Experience with Java Enterprise, Java application servers (such as Tomcat or JBOSS), and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).

• Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration.

• Experience in delivering Single Page Applications using React JS, Material UI, and TypeScript.
