DESCRIPTION

• The TRIO SSS STEM Tutoring Peer Tutor is a part-time position responsible to the Director of TRIO Programs for the following:

• Working in a group setting with students to identify and address their concerns.
• Guiding and supporting students toward independent learning.
• Reflecting and improving upon tutoring techniques by researching tutoring methods during downtime.
• Attend meetings.
• Conducting SSS STEM Tutoring Center workshops.
• Maintaining orderly appearance of the Center.
• Reporting problems and progress to the Coordinator or Director.
• Performing related duties as assigned.

Salary

• $9.00
• 18 hours a week MAXIMUM allowance to work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Associates degree.

Preferred

• Tutoring experience.

RETIREMENT
Part-Time Retirement
Part-time employees are required to participate in the part-time retirement fund. The retirement fund is invested in a group fixed annuity contract with Ohio National Life Insurance Company. The plan will provide you and your beneficiary with fully vested cash settlement or income benefits after termination of employment for any reason.

Employees may utilize the Vaughn Library and Learning Resource Center.

Employee and immediate family use of the Apache Recreation Center - an indoor weight and exercise center, 18-hole disc golf course, covered basketball course, and outdoor ping-pong table and cornhole. The cost is $5 per ID.
